Just a few photos of what Bob has been bringing home for dinner. Mmmmmmm... trout for days! He's loving his new job taking inventory of the fish in mountain lakes and streams. Even gets paid to fish and snorkle really remote places. It's a dream job for him and involves conserving the fish so he's in heaven basically. When small streams start to dry up latwr this summer due to the drought, he will hike in and save the fish before all the water is gone. Like a BABE!
Memorial Day weekend Bob and I ran and free painting workshop sponsored by Paint Free, Be Free. Bob is such a great sport :p We met tons of people, sold some art and coloring books & I performed on stage to an old Prince funk song. Then again with a fire hoop to 'The Thrill is Gone' in tribute to the Great B.B. King.
Christine and Ali are here to visit this week! We've been adventuring and arting like crazy. I took them to Brokeoff Meadow, Manzinita Lake for a plein air painting lesson, Burney Falls (double waterfall) and Subway Cave. We hit up Whiskeytown National Park and Lake for some swimming and rope swing. Been painting everywhere we go. Tomorrow we are hiking a mountain, so I'm off to bed. Wish us luck! Pictures to come! Slow internet lately but will post a bunch Monday probably when I go to town.
"Rhythm" opened last Friday and will run through June 25th at Shasta County Arts Council. We had a great time at the opening. Here are all three artists who are represented: Susan Emerson, her mother Lucy Emerson (photo) and myself. Honored to be a part of this with such amazing women!
***More photos to come soon. I have friends visiting and haven't gotten through all my pictures yet. Come back in a week and they should be up!
All 3 of us.
