A week after Aspen, Bob and I made a big move up to his family's cottage in Michigan for a bit. Yes, it will be cold, but it is super cozy here and we are ready to hibernate and buckle down. We both just recently finished up school and for the first time are free to do whatever we want for the first time ever. Super exciting being this age and hoping to live a bit more simply up here and have more time to be productive on my own terms. I may start another blog based off our cabin living (and at one point we will be living dry.) Here's a peek at where we are...

I recently was invited on a trip to Aspen with my Grammy for a week. Wow what a blast we had. Both of my Grandmothers paint, and Grammy wanted to take me on an "art trip" to Aspen, one of her favorite places. The town of Aspen has a huge respect for art. There is a new museum which was funded entirely by donations of locals. All 44 million dollars were donated. Of the top 200 art collectors in the world, 22 of them have a home in Aspen. There are over 20 galleries. These are all numbers that show how much this small town is into art. Grammy and I saw galleries by day, and we painted all night (sometimes until 1 or 2 am). It was a very memorable trip, I saw some artwork I studied in school, and was astound by a few contemporary Colorado based artists. I will always remember this trip & am very grateful for the time we got to spend together.
